Getting started

Docuseek2 is a education video streaming platform. Here is a crash course on getting started with Docuseek2.

Overview

The general steps to using Docuseek2 on your campus are:

  1. License content, paying by credit card or purchase order. See below for details on ordering.
  2. Once your payment has been accepted (credit card orders are approved immediately; there is a slight delay for purchase orders), we will provision your Docuseek2 account.
  3. You provide us with the IP address range(s) or SSO information for your institution.
  4. We will provide you with a spreadsheet of the permanent URLs for your titles, plus MARC records which will also contain your permanent URLs in the 856 field.
  5. Once the IP addresses are added to your account, we will also provide you with a link for all users at your institution to use. This link will take users to the Docuseek2 site, and log them in as a generic user from your institution. They may search and view content via the Docuseek2 site.
  6. You can obtain persistent/permanent URLs and embed code for your titles by clicking on the My Movies link at the top of most pages, and click on the Link To/Embed button next to the film's title.
  7. Or view the title by clicking on the My Movies link, and clicking on the View button.

Ordering licenses

You can always contact us to order licenses. Email Elena Wayne, Sales + Marketing Manager for more information.

Or you can do it yourself:

  2. Log in. You must be logged in to see license prices, preview films, and license content.
  3. Use the search tools on Docuseek2 to find titles you would like to license.
  4. In the search results, click on the title to visit the film's information page.
  5. Select a license period, and click the Add to Cart button.
  6. Once you have selected all of the titles you would like to license, click the Checkout link at the top of the page.
  7. Follow the instructions to complete the checkout process. You may pay by credit card or purchase order.

Tip: For an explanation of the way we use terms like licenses, subscriptions, databases, collections, and so on, see the About Docuseek2 page.
